• Arrest reports for May 24 (wrganews.com) — Floyd County Jail records detail several recent arrests, including a Rome man charged with aggravated stalking and property damage after allegedly violating a bond condition and damaging a Starlink satellite. Other cases involve alleged obscene online contact with a minor, providing a firearm to a felon, vehicle hijacking, entering autos, and meth possession in local neighborhoods.
   

• Floyd County considering PFAS lawsuit (northwestgeorgianews.com) — Floyd County commissioners will vote Tuesday on hiring attorneys to seek compensation over PFAS contamination, following Rome’s earlier $200 million settlement and water system upgrades. The public meeting also covers rezoning on Alabama Highway and new security lighting at the fire-damaged historic courthouse.
   

• North Rome townhouse plan up for vote Tuesday (northwestgeorgianews.com) — Rome City Commissioners will decide Tuesday whether to rezone North Broad and Dwinell streets for a 14‑unit townhouse project and to raise city-regulated towing and storage fees. The meeting at City Hall is open to the public and also includes several neighborhood rezoning cleanups that would align properties with their current residential use.
