• Slick Champion Aerospace 4300 Series Magneto Impulse Coupler Failures (justhelicopters.com) — A Washington-based FAA Flight Standards office is warning about failures in certain Slick (Champion Aerospace) 4300 series magneto impulse couplers that could lead to engine damage or failure. The office is pushing to expand an existing airworthiness directive to cover more four-cylinder engines and urges mechanics to inspect for loose rivets or pins every 100 hours and report any defects.
